Model RailRoad Trains – Live Steam
Live Steam trains are one of the more rare and unique types of model railroad trains. They are typically 1:8 scale train and are actually large enough to ride. Although, ridable Steam Engines are typically time consuming to build (or expensive to buy).
The term, live steam, simply refers to the action of a machine being run off of steam typically in the form of boiling water. The most famous case that most people know about is the Walt Disney's personal train.
Live steam is typically not a starting point for model railroad train enthusiasts and not recommend for beginners. However, live steam model trains are a great enjoyment for some people and worth considering if you're tired of playing with smaller model trains.
