So you want to start a model railroad train set but don't know what sort of DCC system to run. Well, have no fear we can help. Ask yourself the following questions (and answer them too).
- How many trains you want to run?
- How big is your model railway going to be? (layout size)
- Do you want a radio controlled system?
- What would you like your controller to look like?
You must know that each company creates their own 'basic' system. With each different 'advance' you'll need a subsequent upgrade. So, if you wanted to run 20 trains on a really large track you might need a more advanced system then you simple basic system.
Most importantly contact someone who knows exactly what they're talking about before making any DCC system purchase. This will make your life a lot easier now and in the future.
